The Street Soccer Academy (SSA) is a Personal Development (Mindset Coaching) & Soft Skills Improvement programme typically delivered over 10 consecutive weeks (one session per week), for young adults aged between 18-30 who are currently experiencing homelessness, including those who may be deemed at risk of becoming homeless, such as previous young offenders, long-term unemployed and NEETS (Not in Education, Employment or Training).

The SSA programme fundamentally looks to improve the mindset of participants, and to help individuals to develop key essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, motivation, confidence, and time management, so those taking part will be more ready and able to move into Work, Education or Further Training after successfully completing the programme. During the programme, participants will also be helped to identify employability areas of both capability and interest.

The emphasis is on fun, inclusion, and wellbeing with the overarching aim of the SSA to help make a difference to communities and the lives of disadvantaged young people nationwide.

The delivery of the SSA aims to achieve the following outcomes:

Improved Physical Health & Wellbeing

Coaching of a Positive Mindset to support and improve Mental Health

Improved Employability prospects

Soft Skills development such as Teamwork, Goal setting, Organisation, Planning & Communication
