A Day at our Holiday Camps

A day at camp

A Street Soccer Holiday Camp provides the most exciting and exhilarating, non-stop sports entertainment experience for your children. The structure of the day at camp is consistent every day to provide a familiar experience for children but the activities vary to suit children of all ages, abilities and interests.

The Stars Team

Children are welcomed by our experienced Street Soccer Stars Team and introduced to a wide choice of activities as soon as they enter the action zone. Some of our venues offer inflatables, ball sports, giant floor games, board games, book corner, colouring station, music and Lego. The spaces on offer have something for everyone and allows the children to choose activities at their own pace to ease and relax them into a new environment, especially if they are nervous or new to us. On arrival, children will be told what colour team they will be on for that day. Our daily “Team Points” competition rewards children for their participation in activities and for improving their skills or knowledge.

Camp Code of Conduct

Once everyone has arrived, each morning we deliver a camp code of conduct to provide children with an overview of the day, specific rules and expectations around behaviour, activities and health and safety. During this time we also pick Coach Supporters and Helpers to help children gain points and build leadership and teamwork skills. Children are then split into age groups depending on the volume and ages of children that are in attendance. Splitting children into groups allows children to play safely with children of a similar age and challenges them at the correct level.

What happens and when

The activities for the day along with the menu and what’s happening each day will be displayed at registration, along with your Camp Manager and the staff team, so you know who is who each day. This is a chance to speak to the staff team and get to know them.

After registration children will be offered a light breakfast which is also available for families to stay and have with them! At 10:30 we send the adults home ready to start our day!

We then get into full swing with our warm-up and “getting to know you games”. This is followed by our structured activities, which include physical activities with games and sports as well as arts & crafts, music and dance.

A hot lunch is served around 12:30 which is then followed by more fun and activities in the afternoon.

Every child will take part in at least 1 hour of physical activity each day and will also get some time for free play to choose what they would like to do.

We have a quiet zone set up every day if children feel they need some time out with books, arts & crafts and seating.

Children are encouraged to take part and try things that they may never have tried before and we encourage them to take the lead in activities and come up with games and sessions they would like to do.

Lets go!

Every day we offer children a selection of different warm-up games before we begin our main activities. These might include tag games, fitness stations, relays, musical and drama games, aerobics and yoga or number and colour games. All of our warm-up games help children to prepare their bodies physically and mentally.
