Academy Sponsors
Long-standing Street Soccer Foundation supporter, FM Conway, sponsored our recent Football For Good Trophy-winning Street Soccer Academy in partnership with the Chelsea FC Foundation.
Participants from the Chelsea Street Soccer Academy proudly stepped out onto the iconic London Stadium pitch for the Cup Final, wearing the blue of Chelsea FC and the logo of the family-run infrastructure services company that supported their participation throughout their journey.
They beat Salford City’s Foundation 92 Street Soccer Academy team by a 3-1 scoreline to win the trophy, which was held to mark the inaugural Football For Good Day on 19 November 2023 – a global celebration of the sport’s power to change lives.
FM Conway also sponsored the Academy participants from the West Ham United Foundation and Brentford Community Sports Trust, who also took part in the national cup event.
Supporters from the start
The company, which has supported the Street Soccer Foundation since its inception, earlier this year pledged additional sponsorship for our Academy programme, which has enabled us to transform the lives of even more vulnerable young people through our flagship ten-week personal development course, for 18 to 30-year olds who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Run in partnership with professional football club community organisations across the country, the Academy course covers a mixture of football coaching, positive mindset training, mentoring support and skills and employability workshops, with the aim of helping participants to progress into employment, education or further training.
We are proud to continue our support of the Street Soccer Foundation. We have seen first-hand how the charity is tackling youth homelessness and recognise that hopefully, through early intervention, we can transform the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. As a family business, we recognise that a sense of belonging means so much and it is wonderful to be able to reach out to those beyond our own business to help to achieve that.
Joanne Conway, FM Conway Group Chair
Earlier this year, FM Conway were also proud and exclusive sponsors of the Street Soccer Academy National Cup, held at The Home of England Football, St George’s Park, which saw almost 100 young participants representing eight professional football club Street Soccer Academies from across the country, compete in a tournament held to mark their successful completion of the Academy course.
We as a charity are committed to helping vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to build resilience, learn new skills and attain a positive mindset through our Academy programmes and FM Conway’s increased contribution this year has enabled us to continue and expand our vital work in new and additional communities nationwide. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of FM Conway and it is abundantly clear to see the level of positive impact our Academies have when participants came together on International Football For Good Day.

Reflecting on the recent tournament, Joanne Conway added:
To witness first-hand how our contribution is making a difference is about as impactful as it can get.. The programmes are fantastic, clearly delivered by passionate people, and we are delighted to be a part of this and see the joy, friendship and teamwork displayed at the Cup.
