Football for Good & The Street Soccer Foundation

Two brands united in using football as a force for good

The Street Soccer Foundation is a registered charity which was founded by Keith Mabbutt, and is dedicated to using football as a powerful force for good and positive social change. Our flagship initiative, the Street Soccer Academy, provides a nationally acclaimed personal development course aimed at helping vulnerable and homeless young people transform their lives for the better.

The Academy programme has now become the No.1 football-led project tackling youth homelessness in the UK.

To extend our mission and impact, our Founder has also established additional project initiatives: ‘Football For Good’ and ‘The Big Goal’, which furthers our collective commitment to changing lives through football.

Here’s how these initiatives interlink and unite with each other to support our overarching mission:

The
Big Goal

The Big Goal brings the corporate sector into our mission, forming a network of businesses that sponsor the Street Soccer Academy programmes. The campaign invites companies to pledge support for young people in communities nationwide, ensuring the sustainability and expansion of our programme - all the while providing a playing opportunity in the biggest 5-a-side national football tournament in England.

Football for Good Leagues

The Football For Good Leagues are a new initiative that organises 5-a-side football leagues, involving working professionals, community members, and Academy graduates. These leagues are unique in that 100% of the weekly match fees are reinvested into local communities, supporting disadvantaged children and young people. This initiative embodies our motto "Play For Change" and extends our impact by integrating community engagement with our social mission.
